Youth Safe Space Programming

The St. Louis Area Violence Prevention Commission (VPC) is seeking proposals from nonprofit organizations to provide safe space programming for St. Louis youth ages 15-25 to reduce at-risk behaviors. This is one-time funding for consistent programs for up to 12 months. Consistent, we suggest at least 10 activities and/or at least six months of programming. Preference will be given to applications that clearly explain how this funding will expand the hours of operation, services available, or youth served by the project. Subcontracts will range from $1,000 - $25,000, depending on the project's scope. This is not pop-up event funding.

The VPC is dedicated to reducing violence in the region, and we believe that safe space programming is a key strategy in achieving this goal. Safe space programming provides a physical and emotional space where youth can feel safe, heard, and supported.
