Youth Safe Space Programming
The St. Louis Area Violence Prevention Commission (VPC) is seeking proposals from nonprofit organizations to provide safe space programming for St. Louis City and St. Louis County youth ages 15-25 to reduce at-risk behaviors. This is one-time funding for consistent spaces for up to 12 months. By "consistent," we suggest at least 10 activities and/or at least six months of programming. Preference will be given to applications that clearly explain how this funding will expand the hours of operation, services available, or youth served by the project. Subcontracts will range from $1,000 - $25,000, depending on the project's scope. This is not pop-up event funding.
The VPC is dedicated to reducing violence in the region, and we believe that safe space programming is a key strategy in achieving this goal. Safe space programming provides a physical and emotional space where youth can feel safe, heard, and supported.

This application has a rolling deadline of the 7th of each month. To allow for youth review and contracting time, applications must be received no later than the 7th of the month prior to the month when the event takes place. For example, if you are proposing a July event, the application should be submitted no later than June 7.
