Youth Events

The St. Louis Area Violence Prevention Commission (VPC)

is seeking proposals from nonprofit organizations to provide safe, fun events for youth at high risk for involvement in violence as a measure to reduce at-risk behaviors. Since most youth who are victims and perpetrators of violence are older teens, we will prioritize events for youth ages 14+. Youth at high risk include those who have individual issues like substance abuse and behavioral disorders, family-related problems such as a history of criminality or exposure to violence, and community issues like poverty, gang presence, and a lack of support systems.
