End of Year 2021

Across all three of the City of St. Louis's Cure Violence sites in 2021, there were 482 violence interruptions, but that was just some of what they did.

September 2021

​

In August 2021, all three Cure Violence St. Louis sites saw reductions or no change in homicide, aggravated assault, and robbery numbers from August 2020. There were no homicides in any of the catchment areas for August 2021. The three sites are working with 112 people in case management and more than 2,100 people have attended events held by the Cure Violence St. Louis staff. 

August 2021

In July 2021, all three Cure Violence St. Louis sites saw reductions or no change in robbery numbers in their catchment areas from the July 2020 totals. Walnut Park had a reduction in Homicide in July 2021. Wells Goodfellow/Hamilton had reductions in aggravated assault for July 2021.

May 2021

 

At a Board of Aldermen Ways & Means Committee hearing on the Health Department budget, Acting Director Dr. Echols provided an update on St. Louis's Cure Violence implementation.
